Those black ones look the same as the racepro ones i had on the rs, they were expensive for what they are/were with no mesh or mounting bolts too.

I have winter covers for the blue ones

Yea, I got the black ones from Racepro as well! The Blue puppies are on loan so I cant afford to damage em!

MSE\'d kinugawa TD06SL2 is Marc\'s old one. You going to flip it spence?

You know too much clint :D and nope not flipping. It fits into the factory location so im keeping it that way :)

Flip mani not twist turbo bro. Do intake pipes fit through under a flipped V3/4 mani?

Left work on a huge angle to save the lip, wheel dropped down the side of the driveway, lifted a back wheel and rocked forward onto the lip ::) Lip broke off and boss had to hold the back down while I drove forward, was a good laugh.

Good work man, looks great :D

Cheers Paulngui, Loving the way it sounds.

Weird but the car seems a bit slower with it on, the only reason I can come up with is loss of exhaust back pressure combined with my blocked/deformed inlet at the primary turbo? With increased exhaust flow the inlet can\'t keep up anymore?

OEM, STI Genome, Apexi World Sport2:

This is why the Genome caused an instant power drop (also raised engine temps by 10 degrees), bottle neck at the flange taking internal diameter down to 42mm. OEM pipe is straight 52mm internal, Apexi WS2 is 58mm. My midpipe is 58mm.

Apexi left, Genome right:

I need to massage the Apexi mounts to get it to sit straight and stop knocking, but it sticks out past the bumper by 15mm, the Genome was 15mm short. The Apexi is the same tip width, but it\'s slightly oval, so sits higher and fits the bumper better (or will once brackets are fixed):

Edit: Ive tried bending the muffler brackets but I\'m going to break a weld, so it\'s come off and back to the little OEM for now. Going from Genome to Apexi I got power back and block was 10 degrees cooler.

Thanks for info - noted for future ref! I have a Fujitsubo turbo-back with (equal-ish) headers , but a factory up-pipe (dunno why they didnt just shell out and replace that too!) wondering what kinda internal restrictions I may have hidden under the heat wrap....

Are they actually Samco? Always find it amusing when someone list an item, clearly branded item, but wouldn\'t mention a brand name in their listing (tells me fake straight away), especially if they\'re a manufacturer ???

Probably copies :) re: top hose - I had a bit of a look on the Mackay rubber site (aussie manufacturer) and I\'m hoping EJ207/ Ver 7 Sti has same hose as JDM B4 as they \'appear\' the same. If not, trip down to Repco might be in order! ( Car fitted with HKS temp-probe adaptor fitting so mach one eyeball and stanley knife to make one fit!)

Had a squiz at the car yesterday and noticed it was fitted with a plastic-topped aluminium core rad - is this standard for B4\'s?

Hose on bottom seems to be after market....

Who did your alignment Sam ?

Josh Mitchell at Crowesports - you probably know him from some of the RATEC events? I talked to him and Trev about what I wanted and they had some good suggestions.

[quote name='Roo said:

Why not zero toe in the rear?

The goal is to make it oversteer on the track so Josh and Trevor Crowe suggested toe out on the rear and I thought I would give it a go.

From what I\'ve picked up the consequences of this is that the car probably won\'t be as stable under braking and might have a tendency to be quite snappy around corners (think snap oversteer). It will also make it wander on the road a bit and will wear out the tyres faster.

But oversteer is good ;D

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
