But i got to this point and thought GAYDEO, STFU you have no idea. When there was a CS trackday in CHCH 1/3 of the CS'ers attendeing were from auckland, this wasn't a megameet, just a regular trackday. How many southeners made it up WITH CARS to the last MM.

in the last 4 years the southern chapters have grown in leaps and bounds. I was a member when this "legendry" trackday happened but at the time wasnt in any kind of position to put my car on track

Raydeo, can you please enlighten us to why in this thread, you have been more active in promoting CS than the time you were wanking around with your VP badge. You've already stated that the discounts you acheived are rubbish. Or is it as i suspect that you've jacked up the sponsorship needed to fund your career as a "race car driver" and these discounts are meaningless.

if you had anything to do with the committee or being a rep you would know that it is the job of the reps to orginise discounts etc from bunsinesses. I sourced a couple of K worth of prizes for the last MM, sure. but what has any sponsorship deal i have going got to do with you, or any other member of CS?

I am passionate about CS and have always worked to market us to the public in the best light possable.

All i hear from you is blah blah blah, now that its not my responsibility i can have a cry about all the things i never did when i could have.

atleast im doing something, turning up to meets when possable, orginising meets, advertising the club. what have you done for the club in the last year? oh thats right, stayed away, and its been fucking bliss!

TO BE HONEST. Ray has done more for this club than the average member, he has earned the right right to complain if nothing else.

In defense of Turtle, he has done major work in the past so also has the right to criticise(one of the members from up north who has road tripped it down here also). We are entitled to our own oppinion at the end of the day, and I see both have valid points.

Personally I welcome criticism, as a Manager Im always after feedback of where I have f***ed up etc etc. It sucks but hey generally I can take some positive out of it. I can't stand PC bulls***, lets get it out in the open and be blunt.

I think the real question you might be trying to ask, is when was the last time i attended a club event of any kind, and why would I. Though i did go to MM10, but only to catch up with friends, not because it was a subaru day, and definitley not to meet any of the new "breed" of subaru owners.

Thats nice, your being honest. Just so you know, i've also been involved in organising cruises, trips to the drags (where people actually raced not made excuses) so I also have the right to complain.

In summary, my argument is, Raydeo is having a whinge, SI won't get the numbers to fill a track day, NI Will and has done in the past. And as Koom has said the MM tag has ruined the idea. Thats what you get for trying to copy NZH though. Prove me wrong, go on, i dare ya!

FWIW if i still had a car, and didn't dislike so many of the SI people, i would make the trip down. Ruapuna is an awesome track.
