have you tried your car key in the ignition? insert and twist to START

Oh i shouldve mentioned those problems are on 2 different cars. And on one of them, the key wont come out of the ignition...so i dont think thats the problem.

As for why wont DCCD work... Probably the same reason we seem to be in a constant race for who can break the most gearboxes

Bloody thing decided to die in 3 inches of muddy ooze at the boat ramp. It locks up perfectly fine all day long for 3 months on the street then the one day i could use some extra traction all i get is a flashing light.

I\'ve run an auto ecu in a manual car in the past with no problems. But may be different in your application

Usually it\'s if you go the other way it won\'t work (manual ecu in an auto)

I\'m making great use of this thread aren\'t I :

What\'s the deal with seats? I\'ve read that quite a few are interchangable and will simply work on the existing rails between different models.

Basically, I\'d be keen to get some bucket seats out of a diff model Subi, just curious as to whether anybody has any first hand experience in working with the rails in my \'94 BG5 and what would/could possibly work on or with them?

I haven\'t done the swap myself but I always thought there was a single pin on the ecu that was either grounded or open circuit, depending on if it was in a manual or an auto.

i.e.either cut the wire or add it in.

Could prove to be difficult to locate on a bg5 ecu though as the pinout\'s on the net may not show that auto/manual pin.

I\'d try warm soapy water first. Wouldn\'t leave it on for too long either, it could leave a permanent light patch?

Unfortunately it\'d been some time since it happened when it was pointed out to me. Tried warm soapy water with a lot of elbow grease but it\'s till there. Hopefully some car care product out there can do the trick.
