2014 Sti Impreza

Had a quick look at a magazine while waiting for my patner in town today. In it was an article about the upcoming Wrx and Sti that should be released in 2014. Apart from the cars shape which i think is cool, the biggest thing that stood out was Subaru's apparent choice of engine. They intend to use a 1.6litre engine, the Wrx gets a single turbo making about 160kw and the Sti gets the same engine but with twin turbos amd makes about 200kw. Anyone else seen the car or read the same magazine, can't remember which mag it was? Oops ???

Cos what they should do is put a T1million turbo and a front mount on it ??? Contrary to popular belief not everyone likes a car with no go, that then all of a sudden hits 2500/3000rpm and goes mad like a crazy cat lady running down the street with her hair on fire and runs out of puff way short of the redline ;)

This is all speculation at this point, theres no need to be 1.6L to re-enter the WRC, shit there was no need to even have a 2l impreza in the 97-2010 WRC era (besides grp N homologated cars). It would seem subaru are pretty focused on the BRZ, FT86 atm so it may be awhile before we see a next gen wrx prototype.

True but it would make sense for Subaru to base their WRC engines on a production engine rather than design a bespoke WRC motor ?

Homologation or not, Subaru and Mitsubishi have always had road going versions of their WRC cars, unlike the Europeans.

Forget the Sebastian Loeb Citroen C4, it was a joke.

interesting that the FA20 is a front facing phelnum and this 1.6 DIT is a rearwards (undernearth) facing version.

You'd wonder why with the turbo in this location they didnt opt for a front facing phelum and FMIC like an evo or the FA20 which has similar turbo placement.

is that the powersteering at the base by the turbine housing? f*** having something that flamable that close to something that gets that hot.. ???

anyone else think the 'cam cover' portion of this motor is epicly thick / deep in proportion to any previous boxers?

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
