ClubSUB's 21st Birthday 2018

Yup, thats right, ClubSUB is coming of age... 21 years of Subaru related chinwags, modifications, big end bearings, bent rods, events in dimly lit carparks, all night car fixing missions, Pizza nights, talking S*** and general banter.

We turn 21 in April 2018, and we want to hear from you, the members, where, when and how you would like to celebrate?

Do we hold an event and trackday in Taupo/Hampton Downs/Ruapuna/Teretonga?

Do we hold many smaller events?

How do you want to celebrate?

I think this is likely to be an event on its own, from memory they held their birthday event late 2016, so they would likely have a Dyno day later this year... Dont know how mobile their Dyno is? if at all.

Successful CS events in the past have centered around Taupo, and Manawatu.

The Megameet @Joker organised based at Camp Rangi Woods was Brilliant. and the 2 Taupo MMs i have been involved with have been met with positive feedback.

afaik, it's a built in rolling road, so not movable.

@PBMS I believe there was that Dyno day that is yet to happen for Megameet attenders? :P

Camp rangi woods... Christ its been years since I was last there!!! Centered around lower north island I believe would be best for all concerned, the die hard Queenstown tropps and them Auckland "Oohh I cant drive outside the city limits" types seem to be right at the outer edge of the range of travel. And manfield is a fantastic track.

Easter weekend perhaps?

Taupo or Manfield get my votes for track location. Taupo for its general location and Manfield for its track. With me missing Mega Meet and Flatnats due to family commitments I am in with bells on for the CS 21st.

Either sounds good to me; I agree Taupo has a lot more other activities to entice people & partners :-) After such a fun time at Mega Meet it would be jobs on for us! Better start getting the car ready!

in the intrest of keeping the conversation flowing.

I personally would like to re-do the bones of what we did this year and maybe add a cruise or autoX, Would need some help to organise it all though as last year i pretty much did it all single handed.

tui brewery is just over the hill too.

extension is cool too if you've never done it, narrower and very flat.

heading into the wet unpredictable season for weather at the end of April. But brewery have big umbrellas over the tables so sorted there.

you sound like a Local!

Last Flatnats (16?) there did the FULL track including the extension (I have never run that config before & regret not getting out)

backtrack is more fun that the full track for me

Last Megameet (2008?) I organised here was a hoot, trackdays @ Manfield & remote campground (no cell reception people had to talk to each other) and Skids at the brewery, ahh those were the days, rumour is My oil dripping Legacy is the reason our Local car club cant do anymore motorkhana's there anymore

(ps that is not my Legacy :P)

We have Whariti Hillclimb next Month which is NZ's longest or Highest Gravel Hillclimb now

Below is bonus H6 Hooning content @ Tui Brewery

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
