drive to work this morning, parked, got out, walked across the carpark, happened to look back to see a shit load of steam comming out the scoop.... not happy considering I have only just "fixed" the prick!

but i ripped out my gages and pillar and sold them to a young and excited nissan driver lol

pulled off the pillar cut the wires and now im happy,lol

Gave the engine bay and underbody a waterblast. Ran upper engine cleaner through the car. Gave it an oil/filter change and vacuumed out the interior. Now just to give the outside a wash and I'm ready for the mission down to Ohakune on Friday.

Got a wedding to go to down there on Saturday. They've booked out a few of the Miro Park houses, should be there from Fri till Sun or Mon I think. Then off to Palmy for half a week before I head home again. Sure going to rack up some kms :-\

Did you just waterblast the engine? or did you use cleaner and a brush too?

Used degreaser as well (The cheap stuff you get in the big containers at Supercheap). Didn't need to scrub anything, it seemed to come off easy enough as it was.

All good, mine needs a good clean up, guessing you just covered the alt and battery before you sprayed

smokin4 use the original turbo uppipe bracket engine bolts & have a piece of 8-10mm thick stainless or mild steel either flat or rod with a thick heavy washer welded onto the bolted end made to fit/welded to the uppipe, thats how i had planned on mounting it up, looks good man 8)

sorted the atmo BOV issue, got another tyre, fixed the squirter system for window washer and bolted down the WAIC.
