I'm technically retarded remember, so to me, behind the glove box there's the firewall then the engine and that's it, so to say it behind the glovebox Is vague and doesn't answer the question I asked, how do I find it and how do I get it out.

Drove it for the first time in over 2 months. Got it back after repairs to damage that Southern Motor Court did. Dunno how hard they hit the thing but the tiptronic box ain't working right. I shift down from 4 to 3 and it skips 3rd and goes to second. When i shift up from 2nd to 3rd it misses it and goes straight to 4th. WTF ?

Doubt it, tyres are still fine if that means anything, and I knew a mate who's legacy did it a few years back. He got rid of it before the problem was diagnosed. Lost contact with him, even though it wouldn't help if I did still speak to him. Gonna contact SMC on Monday and demand they sort it out. Fuckers !

Chances are they have barely moved or driven it - probably sat @ panelbeaters the whole time. Maybe try a reset before anything - could be trans ecu having a sad about something random after sitting so long? (Just grasping at staws here) - pretty hard to prove if they did "break" the trans in the process.

Did you note km's before & after you dropped it to them?

Was tidying up engine bay and cut wrong vacuum line for one of the pressure sensors. Doesn't get vacuum or pressure lol.

I traced it to one of the solenoid/ sensors on the strut tower. The line I mistakenly cut has yellow plastic parts along it...

Well, yesterday put altenator and belts on, pretty much wired in the o2 sensor just waiting for the rain to clear before testing to see which is which have an idea that the red/yellow is power. The other 2 are a mix 'n' match hope they're right game cos the o2 sensor is one of the bosch universal ones, black,white,white. Black is power and guessing game for the two whiteys lol.

Both whites are the same so doesn't matter. Both are white on factory too! The wires are pain to solder! they never seemed to get hot

Yeah the bosch book said "do not solder" so just used the joiner and some spare loom wire I had lying around with a new plug.(last one was busted)

nice!, yeah thropy was saying there had been a wee bit of work going on that car. yeah im looking forward to some stage times without dust in front of me. the later stages i got close to his times

yeah was a bit of a moment, total mare of a corner, did anyone get it on video? thought my rally was over in the first 1km. scarey stuff those night stages in the dust!
