What have you done to your car today?

Today, DacerX and I changed my front springs for Cobra lows and also the front brake pads for Znoelli pads.

I also found out my 4 pots need a rebuild

Decided 10km in the last month wasnt enough use so took it to work and back. Almost felt like a new car - felt every bump and reacts to inputs so much quicker than a bigass ute. Love being able to cruise round town at 50km in 5th and it doesnt labour at all. Get a 2.5 i say.

Got the mrs's car tinted, looks quite good now and jebus it makes a difference to how hot it gets during the day. Not something I'd bothered with before and wish I had.

Bought a head unit and dash replacement panel thing to mount it for hers as well - bluetooth and spotify = just starts playing when the car starts, works really well.

The airtrek got 90% of a boost gauge put in till I realised I have no T pieces left, and got a replacement exhaust component which looks startlingly like a mitsubishi cat converter but appears to be hollow, weird. Planned out what I need to get a FMIC on it

Oh it also moved a fridge, a load of recycling and weighed in at under 1430kg (surprising)

removed the intercooler and started to remove the manifold to sort of the coolant leak issues its having.

Thanks to 1randomkiwi for giving me this Strut Brace, Today i gave it a lick of paint and threw it on the car.

Changed rotors and pads by myself for the first time ever. Not that big of a deal. Would've been nice to change callipers too but nope have to wait for bigger rotors to turn up. So maybe a few months or weeks away for that.

Replaced knock sensor in the legacy, old one was pretty shagged. I have to say using a bungee cord to hold the heater hose out of the way was an awesome move! Also changed the castor rod bushes in the girlfriends commodore.

Took it to auck yesterday averaged 10k/l with plenty of boosty. Very keen to get everything finished on it just need $$$.

Put zaust silencer in in preperation for early as fudge morning start. And now its on wastegate pressure...

I know that feeling well, its the reason it took 3 years to complete mine. its hard work having to wait when you just want it done.

Thought I had lost all oil pressure on mine yesterday, dash switched off. thought here we go again engine has blown, lifted the bonnet craping myself to find nothing wrong. Turned out to be a electrical connector between the dash and the ignition switch, shut off the display and made the alarms go off. Pretty happy about that, was stuck at the side of the road for a bit waiting for my mate/builder to come and diagnose it.

Will say though thanks to the couple in the legacy who stopped to see if they could help, seems to be a bit of a brotherhood between Subaru owners.

Had my 3" downpipes installed. No more rattle and surprisingly quiet...

Sounds a tonne better and seems to be a bit quicker too!

Drove it a good 1000km+ to Tauranga and back.

Enjoyed the very vast majority of those kms.

Mine took a little under a litre. Got a 2 L container so I could do my RA too.

I also wandered about the fact that its mineral oil, but read up about it and have used the same Motul in my RA without any issues. I'll just change it more frequently.
