diagnosed by the fact that after bleeding the hydraulic system, it still engages / disengages right at the very top of pedal travel, typical clutch slip symptoms in any gear above 4k rpm or above 0.5 bar boost, can hear the clutch slipping and feel it at 60kmh up a hill in 4th.

audible bearing sound / rattle in neutral at idle, goes quiet when clutch pedal is depressed.

Had a lol at how high my car should be.

Parked behind my mates 05 outback on stock suspension

Nice....your wagon looks good at that height!

Is it the 3.0R or 2.5?

Whats it like on the gas driving around Auckland?

Have been thinking about getting one as a new daily.

3.0r - the high outback is 2.5

Driving around Auckland is ooooK could probably be a bit better (i think my sti was better around akl) .... open road driving is mint on gas though!

Swore at it, profusely

Well not mine, the mrs's's's owdee

Intermittent fault with hot starts - common issue, and has been diagnosed as the commonly faulty CAS. Located on side of engine in a place a 3 year old would have trouble getting to.

Got it out after 2 hrs or so, got the replacement one in, go to start the car and nadda, then CE light.

Put old one back in.... First pop

Repeat 2x to rule out wiring or bad install

Start to drink to drown frustration of faulty new part

Got it down a 3 min swap out tho

Fixed the play in the wiper linkage, the plastic bush was no more. Tried swapping a good plastic bush in its place but that didn't work. So swapped in a replacement arm from pick-a-part, $5.

Also conditioned the windscreen cowel with plastic conditioner and painted the wiper arms blaaaaaaack.

Not my car; but helped a friends guard rubbing issue (01 Rev D RSK with Sti Badges plastered on the boot, but it has a ducktail boot spoiler so looks pretty cool) The plastic guard inner is all cracked, but the support brace for it wasn't attached to the bumper properly, sussed that, then later got a call when he'd shot off down the road to PaknSave, his alarm battery seems to be on the way out, its light went off, but battery was okay, so disconnected terminal, held brake pedal a bit, reconnected battery, and away she went. was cool then driving back to base, two subies en convoy. not quite as good as some many flatnats experiences I imagine are bound to come.

Finally got around to changing the knock sensor on the GT-B. Took me ages and was a hell of a lot worse than when I changed my V7 one. Took it for a quick drive only for another issue to rear its ugly head. Can't wait to get all the good bits off it and flick it off again.

Aucklanders had a good weekend, had to replace a fuel pump on the way down and a coolant hose before the trip up but none of our cars left Flat Nats on trailers so pretty good show TBH.

Clear cam covers? please share!

Only just saw this sorry lol; Outfit in the UK do them, and there's an aussie re-saler; which sell them for a much smaller price(being its then in AUD not GBP; these guys only do the left and right, not the centre; but

http://www.prospeedracing.com.au/products/psr-subaru-wrx-sti-99-07-clear-cam-gear-covers-not-08.html

I'll give them a jam once it's all sussed.

these UK guys do the full 3 piece.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
