Fitted my surge tank , got the car running but found a small fuel leak, just gotta sort that then drive time.

nope mine somehow managed to get exhaust gases into where the diaphram is and literately roasted it

Started mine today. Ran on two. Think I have the last of the necessary wiring figured now. Went home to celebrate with a pint cause it ran by itself for like 12 seconds.....

Its double sheathed 4mm aflex. was cheap as and less chance of damage.

All individual parts , I got some of the hoses 2nd hand from trademe but everything else is from scratch.

bs thats for sure when i got my new one i found out that its really common with the older models.

apparently the issues fixed and they've added water cooling im not using that

moral of the story buy from somewhere that offers warranty

That really doesn't look good for the people who say you need a genuine gate > Chinese gates

id still trust them because they apparently "fixed" the problem but the Chinese ones leak strait from the box

hers a vid of the Chinese one tested and if your a spirited driver you would have to replace your gate every 6 months or so .

Pulled a connector off the wire at the ECU plug. My spare crimp connectors are somewhere between Tauranga and here. Had a waaa about it and went home to wait for the pallet of parts to arrive so I can continue on the worlds slowest engine build tomorrow night....

ive used chinese gates on various cars - some have done 10,000 km plus with no problems - and take more than a little spirited driving

and ive done back to back dyno runs with the same boost curve between chinese and tial and turbosmart
