What have you done to your car today?

Changed oil , Fitted tow strap , flushed radiator and added new 50:50 antifreeze.

Put most of the dash back together, fixed the oil leak, got it running reasonably well and ready for run in and burnt off a tonne of oil that had camped out in the header wrap. Workshop was kinda smoky (kinda = couldn't see the ceiling....)

I just started mine up first time since the 6th of march & its still clean looking from the clean after my trip to back from the coast at waitangi weekend haha love car covers...... namely flannel sheets

but my helmet didn't turn up in the post.. so funky if there's a club spare or if somone has a spare for hire, id be keen

Maybe..........but methinks not. Still got plenty to do on it before I can be confident of it running consistently again. Mostly needs to be driven further than 500m ;D

Bought new alloy sway bar links. Hopefully get them by friday so can have something to do for a while on saturday before pubcrawl starts at 10am lol

Went from this:

To hours, days, weeks and months of paint stripping to this:

I baked it in a paint booth for the first coat, thinking one coat would be enough but it didn't come out as bright as I was hoping so did a second coat at home and baked it in the sun. Took 20mins for paint to crinkle in the booth and amost double in the sun! Can't wait to fit it!

Last night fitted alloy rear swaybar links with nolathane bushes

On the Surf... Finished the transmission wiring so now it will stay in L or 2 if it's told it. Sleeved the wiring, installed firewall grommet.

Replaced the right rear door. Now pieces don't fall off when you shut it, plus it say TURBO which has to be good for +5hp atw.
