What have you done to your car today?

Thrashed the pants off it over Saddle road :D

BIG backfires which lit up the night and on the way back down my catylytic converter or muffler or something broke into pieces. Now every time i get her above 4,500rpm at full throttle i get a massive spray of embers/sparks out the exhaust - it looks like a roman candle shoved up the tail pipe.

Also discovered how to make the rear windscreen wiper work and fecked with the timing a bit more. Cant wait till I can shoe-horn the EJ22 in there :D

new dash cluster went in today. does anybody know what car these gauges came out in or are they aftermarket sti?

from the look of them, theyre aftermarket, as the speedo font is totally different then the other dials.

Looks good though, should mean that you can actually SEE the dials at night!! Only thing ive noticed though, I think you temp gauge is a bit broken, its a bit droopy!

yeah duno why its sitting like that. wired it up and none of the dials are reading anything so better make sure its hooked up right. shouldnt matter if mine doesnt have the dccd should it?

That's a V3 STi RA gauge cluster, with some s***ty white plastic faces replacing the stock ones. Not genuine STi.

I assume you've installed it on a V2 RA (looking at the IC sprayer button)? The wiring may be different, can't say for sure.

everythin on the back of it is exactly the same as my original cluster that came out of it but the temp gauge was f****d and nothing seems to want to work on it. put the priginal 1 back in and it goes straight away

Didn't even take it round the block?

Nope. it just sits around now that its winter. Comes out in summer to tow the jetski and thats only because it has the towbar.

Hrmmm. Maybe swap the temp gauge over to the new one? But a word of warning, if you pull the needles off, apparently it's bloody impossible to put them back on correctly. I've never tried myself though.

yeah just put the original fuel and temp gauges in for the time being but still got white speedo and rev counters. yeah i sort of attempted to get the needles off but they dont wana move and id agree they would be a bloody mission to get off let alone get them back on

Put the front grill back in, front left wheel brake is having issues as its gripping with no brake pressure on it.

Now having it sitting in the sun with all the windows open to get the speights smell out of it.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
