Yes, should give a CEL if backwards and possibly the injector won't work, (internal coil resistor).

Nope you can wire an injector either way. Will not make any difference at all.

Just wondering if wrx gc8 and legacy bc5 exhaust systems are the same length,would a aftermarket exhaust for a rs legacy fit my wrx.cheers

Wheel well sits differently iirc. GC/GF ones are cheap as anyway and would fit all the hangers dude.

Oh bugger i have a hks exhaust off a bc rs legacy and was going to fit to gc8

Not definite but might need a little molestation.

ended up fitting the hks exhaust off the rs legacy,mid pipe ended up being too long so had to cut down and reweld.wheel well seemed to be okay.cheers

What are the symptoms of a failing fuel pump or one that is to small for the job?

Hard to start, shuddering/power loss under boost and at higher RPM, random stalling/cutting.

Also knock/ping/det.

Is it possible to tell whether it's a "super low" or "low" spring? Colour suggests to me its a Dobi sport spring.

Strut + Spring are from a WRX.

Fellas, i am in dire need of information. so i noticed coolant all over my engine bay the other day cause i saw steam coming from the engine. I havent got to the bottom of it yet but i just had a question. Ive noticed 2 coolant caps? in my GDB. are they the same thing? can i put coolant in either one? and how do i determine where the leak is?

Also i used to get knocks in my suspension but now the noise has transitioned into a creaking sound?

One coolant cap on the top tank and another on the radiator itself? Look around for any leaks or splits. Especially on the side of the rad. Otherwise, get a pressure test done.

Suspension knocking could be that your sway bar bushes need a regrease or the struts themselves need a regrease.

Take the header tank cap off, put the garden hose in and semi seal it with one hand. The water pressure should make the leak squirt. Hopefully just a split/perished hose has let go.

turbo? should be one cap on the header tank. if you have two caps, maybe your radiator has been replaced with a non-turbo variant (which is ok if the dimensions are the same)

maybe the relief under the radiator cap is venting straight into the engine bay during normal engine operation. if so run a second rubber hose from the radiator cap relief to the coolant overflow bottle

Split hose or radiator end tank? I'd just run the car up to temp with the bonnet up and around about the time that the fans kick in, you should be able to see where it's squirting out from.

car isnt worth **** / but for some spanner time and not much other cost i could manual it . depending if it need a diff

guys, my headlight has got some condensation on the inside and ive read that i need to reseal them.. question is which sealant do i need adn would it be available at repco or supercheap?

Before I sold my previous set of tail lights, I used a hair dryer to dry them out completely then I used some off the shelf silicone sealant and went over the areas that looked like where water would be getting through. It was a bit messy, but some fine grit sand paper + soapy water cleaned them up.
