Not to mention that the air will have to travel vertically anyway, whether it does it in the HX or the pipe is irrelevant. Lower pressure drops due to friction is probably your biggest advantage, but even then... It's debatable whether difference in length/velocity is actually making any significant impact. I'd argue ambient air temps will have more of an effect, i.e. summer vs winter.

does anyone know what causes major oil leak out the drivers side of the motor? twin to single converted legacy wagon? its only marginally less than the bp oil spill.GRRRR

Rocker Covers? prob need to get the gaskets replaced - Use OEM replacements from Subaru

anyone know if the fog lights on BD5 are H1? just got some Xenon Halogens for my headlights they look heaps better than the repco ones i brought earlier this year, just figured if they are i mayaswell buy another pair and do the foggies too

pretty much sure they are H3s, BE5/BH5 has H3

cool cheers, my headlights are H1 so just thought they would probably be the same, ill attempt to get one out on wednesday night and have a look

ive owned few different cars, they all had H3 in fog lights (Merc, Mitsi, and the Suby)

What versions came with white gauge cluster?

I thought it was only v7 upwards till today when I saw this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/wrx/auction-410667669.htm which is black but still stamped with STi. Then I saw a 98 type R with white cluster and went

only IF the gizzmo chip was tuned specificly for yellow injectors

Mechanical or electrical Boost gauge??? Im thinking mech be easier to install?

mechanical is easy as..

electrical is not fun ( but i hate electronics )

also with mechanical you will need ( if it has that feature ) to hook up the wires for the lights.. i just run it to the wires behind the head unit for the ashtray.. ( it lights up when the lights are on just fine).

Is the top bit where ive circled needed as one has snapped and doesnt sound like that cyclinder is getting enough fuel?

if i get a version 3/4 wrx loom and ecu motor etc, can i mate the interior stuff to gen 3 leggy realistically

as far as i know its function is to pass vibration from the injector to the rubber dampener which is inside the top cap

it may be noisier if its broken off, but not sure how it affects the operation, have to ask someone who better understands injectors

compare the condition of the spark plugs to give you a better idea of cylinder fueling

soooo i just got my RFRB grill the other day, looks like i need to fix it in with screws rather than the clips on the standard grill, anyone had experience putting one in and can give me some advice? haven't really had time to look at it much the last few days as been flat tack at work, nice looking grill though, needs a touchup on the paint in a couple of spots but looks churr, just need to find time to put it on now!

dumb question is it black plug on the back or the front for a ver5 rail setup? as you can see i have the black on the back and the grey plug on the front but i can't remember if this was the way it was :

Just checked mine, got black on back, grey on front ,

Hadn't even realized they had different colored plugs till now! Lol
