your one looks to have more \'kink\' than the usual front brace. maybe it is for the rear after all?

Yeah that\'s why I am a bit puzzled.. It does fit on a rear crossmember, will check tomorrow if it fits on a front one (silly me didn\'t think about that until I got home and started searching).

My initial question was whether I put on front or rear side of the rear crossmember. May be guru Marky would know

should be the rear side. the front side of the rear-crossmember will be close to the fueltank

K brace only fits to the rear of the front-crossmember, as will that part. the illustration you have is not suby.

Squeaky front swaybar

I know it is because I\'ve sprayed all sorts of everything into the poly bush and it shuts up until the next time it rains or I look at it funny

Best fix is to: a) buy a new mount you cheapskate or b) insert substance X into the bush

Second question: is there any benefit to replacing swaybar endlinks with alloy ones other than "they wont break" - do the factory ones flex and "dull" things at all?

Hi

a great noob question....

Waste Gate question:

If one was running a external waste gate with a 7 psi spring however the standard boost for the car was 13psi for instance would the car only boost to 7 psi or would it still continue to 13psi. The waste gate in this scenario is not being controlled by a electronic boost controller or boost tap and the ecu is standard.

I am aware that the spring dictates the lowest boost the car will run.

Cheers guys/girl

It will run 7 psi if you have set it up to run wastegate pressure. Any form of boost control introduced will raise the boost pressure. I don\'t think it is a good idea to run an external waste with a boost controller that you cannot adjust.

When I switched from my internal wastegate to an external wastegate. The boost was raised about 2-3 psi with no adjustment made to the boost controller. I had to dial that back down with my electronic boost controller.

One fun fact that I learned is that if you run wastegate pressure and a screamer pipe you can hear that the wastegate is opening much sooner than what the spring is set for. I.E. with my 11 psi spring I could here the screamer as early as 4 psi.

well have you hooked the stock boost controll to the waste gate ?

id say its not advisable . due to a far different ratio of actuator area / valve area and the fact the stock controll is blind/dumb/ doesnt know what its doing or trying to achieve , just bleeds a set amount

it will boost what the spring says it will + what ever you bleed off with a controller .

all wastegates do this . as the valve has to be fully open at 11 psi so cracks at 4 . can be negated with a ball and spring boost controller . can be totally avoided with a good ebc or a "pressure regulator " for boost controll

I was carjamming my car and it has come up in red with "at least 1 alert" Car is paid off etc and I was wondering if anyone knows what comes up on the Carjam report you pay for?

I\'m curios what it is and slightly worried the bank may not have removed there interest in it after the loan was paid.

I think CarJam only updates their records when someone buys a report for that car. Don\'t quote me on that though.

I think it\'s v4 or v5+ that got a fuel light.

I have a 1997/v3. no fuel light.

I know on my v5 the only time I have seen it the gauge was so low I was convinced I wasnt going to make it to the petrol station 2km down the road just before it came on. And then it stayed on for two full tanks after that lol.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
