Thermostat stuck closed so the ECU is forever enriching the A/F mixture to get the car to working temp?

how would i check if its stuck google says to check if your fans turn on.

Yeah I have similar problem with my Starlet but from different source. The water temp sensor has gone faulty so ecu makes fuel rich to protect against hotness and leanness in cylinder.

So it\'s not so much stopping 02 sensor going - it just means it gets ignored basically

I had a prob with a mitsi where the temp sensor got stuck saying it was hot (I have no idea) - was fine once hot but would crank, splutter and die a dozen times till it ran properly from cold

"coolant temp"sensor : in the crossover pipe on top of the block : ran so rich it made my old auto GT stall in hte mornings and never start again (in theory : I traded it in)

also headgaskets are a problem, either you need to geth genuine 22b ones which are MENTAL $$$ or you need 98mm cometic ones... thats about all there are out there.

Is there such a thing as Brembro 2pot front brakes as seller suggests? Or are they just 4 pots with a sticker?

they look like the later oem brembos painted black . and the 2 is a mistake as those pictures are def a 4 pot caliper

What would be a cheap bolt on upgrade for brakes on a 2001 GGA 20k hatchback?

Im pretty sure its only got 277mm disks on the front so would 296mm slotted disks and calipers off a GTB make any improvement an just bolt on?

does it have 4 pots standard? I suspect not being WRX..

so 4pots with 294mm discs up front with suitable pads would be good upgrade.

/insert usual statements about fluid and braided brake lines and master cylinder brace here too.

Any increase in disc size is good but may as well buy a pair of 4 pots with rotors can be had for $200ish. The legy upgrade will improve but not wicked gains. Factor in a decent set of road pads I found GCT bloody good as a road pad - I dont race.

Cheapest set of 4 pots i can find is $300 but after the massive brake fade i got the other day, seems like a valid upgrade. Slotted rotors as well while i\'m at it?

Slotted eat pads apparently. Allsubaru I think it is sell sets for $200 every so often on TM give them a call.

No rotors dude. Pretty sure the last set of 4 pot rotors I did for a member was around the $100 mark.

Good job by Subaru there, make a car bigger, heavier and with more power but leave the brakes alone. :

Will keep an eye out for a good cheap set.

The pic below probably answers my question above ;D

Are those circled point correct fitting positions (rear bumper side of the frame) or the brace needs to go on the other, front bumper side of the same piece of frame?
