From what I've read, it was when Subaru wanted to get away from the WRX naming, except in the US. It looks like from 2010 onwards they went back to just the WRX and STi, both having the wide-body.

2L, dual AVCS, twin scroll (I think it maybe single, it's damn hard to figure out) should be quite fun. Give it a better intercooler, open the exhaust a bit and a reflash should equate for a wee town rocket.

Probably come the time I have the money, the STi's or My11 WRX's will be in my price range. *touch wood* If not, I'll be happy with an S-GT.

S-gt is the jdm version of the international spec wrx.

International versions are spectacularly detuned, single scroll with economisers, tumble generation valves etc.

Jdm s-gt had twin scroll td04 iirc, no wide body, but better performance mapping than the wrx with better throttle response maps and no tumble valves. Because japan. Lol

adding new front bumper and lip, rear bumper caps, painting bonnet diff colour , vac hoses replacement, throttle body and intercooler change,

on a 99 b4 legacy,

also painting a 92 impreza sedan full paint

twin scroll td05, exhaust and a reflash and maybe a better intercooler and it would be a good cheapish new car. I have been seeing them from 10k in places. For a 07-09 car thats good. I would rather the legacy but i like the space

Well I just fitted my new 17's with some nice rubber (selling the 19's with their licorice tyres) - now im just waiting on my new brake lines to arrive and then it'll be.....

Fit Bilstein Adjustable, RCM Oil Baffle and Goodridge Braided Brake Lines - and she's ready to rock the Targa Tour (hopefully May edition)

Replace all the suspension bushes, as they're all rogered.

Replace all the rubber in the engine bay, preferably with silicone, as its all old and beginning to be dodgy!

Drop the entire back end subframe and struts, replace everything rubber with nolathane, re-do the damper shims for a softer ride.
