Found out why my car was so loose on the final run of the last autocross I did.

Found the swaybar is no longer attached to the endlink at one end , time to find a new bolt.

i put in the new axle stub and am now all go again

but both rear shafts are quite bent so should hopefully swap them out this weekend

At Sunday.. checked my dipstick.. It was bone dry. D: whoops. But it seems I've gone through 3-4 litres in a month & a half. No obvious oil stains where I park at work & home.. Any ideas??

Rear oil seals, it'll be coming out when the engines under load and slowly burning away, hard to notice, you'll probably want to get them checked, even if it does end up not being that, it's only about $80 for a new seal kit AM not OEM.

A rear main seal is only $38 from a Subaru Dealership. I don't trust aftermarket cam seals, as they have a tendancy to come out of their holes.

Bought it a petrol cap. Failed the cert already - it starts when it's in D and there's a fuel leak ;/

He didn't - when I put the petrol cap in, it meant the fuel system pressurised properly and it started pissing petrol out the old unused fuel return line in the engine bay... all of 10cm from the exhaust headers. I only noticed it when I arrived at the cert place, lucky it was a short drive from the wreckers I got the cap at.....

it let excess pressure out, and also air in BUT there will always be positive pressure in your tank AND if you run a modern car with out the correct cap it will throw a CEL

Seriously ? My understanding is when the fuel level goes down - air needs to take up the volume of fuel that has gone to the injectors - so a gas tank needs to breathe - I've never herd of a car having trouble with no cap ? As it will be breathing

The breather hose that goes to the carbon canister allows the tank to take air in so it doesn't turn into a tank full of vacuum
