I went for a drive and had fun hitting vtec everywhere. Nothing beats vtecing past people out on the open road. At one point i hit vtec so hard everything went blurry and i think my vtec warped space time.

I pity the fools with turbos because they dont know the joys of real boosting

did a suspension swap from a ver 7 sti to a ver 7 wrx

i cursed the vz again..

cleaned up the dobi super lows ;)

Finished putting in catless downpipe, drove it to DOBC meet out west... nearly ran out of gas. The usual shitstorm that surrounds the DeFoz ::)

you feel a big difference in handling from rwd to 4wd?

yep noticed a huge downgrade in handling going to rwd, so expecting it to all come back...

Pulled apart front/rear door trims to run new rca leads for boot amp. Found 1/2 inch drive 12 mm socket that wasnt mine, is now, Score. Run leads, put all trim back together, head unit in properly and all plastic bits back on. Turned on stereo ... only to find I must have run the rca cords over or beside power wire cos now she has a whistle that goes up and down with the revs of the car.... stuff it, it can wait till i get the urge to pull it aprt again! just means I have to run it with out the back 6x9's goin.,...

downgrade? is that because traction is a big issue? im contemplating the conversion purely for the skids but wouldnt of thought it was much of a downgrade?

i by no means think that you can push the chassis as hard as you could 4wd as ive been in my mates one and no for sure you cant just bury your foot mid corner

oh yesterday

put some pads up front (old half worn ones till today as current pads were sooo close to metal on metal!) traced the reason my subs werent working (dam fuse that looked pefectly fine. multimeter says no!)

so today

buy new fuse

buy new pads

get covered in brake dust. realise that i now have hand marks in the brake dust on my mags (slotted rotors = constant brake dust) provoking me to wash the car while listening to the doof doof!! ;D

oooh oooh motul RBF600 anyone? dam need to find a mate who isnt working to give me a hand with that!!

That purely depends on how fast you're going and how hard you're cornering ;)

You're gonna have better traction with 4wd. If you can handle giving it up for some phat-az-skidz, then go for it :P

4wd only helps with powering out of corners afaik anyway, so on the highway, not too much of an issue, just don't floor it coming out of a corner.

what about coming on boost in the wet at 100k and the car starts crabbing sideways....

I can hardly get out my driveway on a dewy morning, cant go fast at all round corners, unless you want to be lock to lock, but then i never had enough lock say compared to a skyline and round it goes....

pretty much i could only use about half the power i have, seems a waste of time in a daily driver...but will defeinalty be converting my legacy to rwd, for those fun skid days.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
