to my understanding a car pre 97 u can cut that part of the car away - after 97 is a no no

You sorta got it , it's more todo with airbags and crush zones than years

would it not turn over when it was hot? if water came out the bottom could be one of the water hoses going to the oil cooler / water pump housing

Fitted some MRP Fortune Auto gold foil & finished my air box, the stuff is really straight forward to use too

Nah the metal water hose on the idle air control valve broke, temp gauge stopped reading properly and then the head cyl cracked. New motor time lol. If anyone is wrecking a BG hit me up.

Removed airbox and airbox in the drivers gaurd (snorkelectomy?) couldnt actual,y get the gaurd off... Must have missed a bolt somewhere.

Also found out the guard liner is shot, so I guess I need to replace it or fill the gap in the there there between the wheel well and engine bay sommehow...

swapped over my rear subframe on my GC8 for a v8 sti one, just need to get my diff rebuilt and tweaked now

All parts are back, all alloy parts have been soda blasted, and all the engine accessory bolts have been re plated

New ARP bottom end kit in and crank set up so that it spins freely by hand

Almost got the new short block together ... almost ( 20hrs so far !)

But . the new rods are 10 thou longer than the orginals , which reduced the piston to head clearance to less than 25thou

DAM, block surfaces had been prep'd with the old (same part#) conrods

(engine build tip , anything less than 30thou will have fatal consequences )

So the new pistons are back out and are going to be machined in the morning

Hopefully a good day tomorrow will see the new power plant all but finished

had to weld up my wheel clamp,my uncle came over yesterday in his bus and reversed straight into my car lol pushed it back and it went right over the clamp and pretty much snapped the handle lol but no damage on the car just the bus lol

tried to replace front brake pads on the sentra, stupid caliper wont come off so cant do much yet
