Found out I might need a new clutch >__< WOnder if something in my hearbox is playing up to wear it out, when marc put the new engine in he reckoned it still had a bit of meat left that shoudl last me a while, but it seems that sometimes in 4th or 5th gear if i put my foot down from 2500 rpm, when the turbo spools to full boost a little after 3k it either hesitates or goes up 500rpm then back down to normal and pulls normally.

New catch can setup... now using a catch can with a breather rather than routing back to the intake.

Couldn't find any nice catch cans in Wellington so made one out of an aluminium drink bottle,

brass hose tails, "need it steel" and race tape. Better than a plastic coke bottle at least.

Finally managed to get to the bottom of my CEL (Camshaft position sensor) which has been popping up since the engine transplant under high boost. Turned out to be dodgy turbo timer wiring from my good old mechanic who has struck yet again...! Prick!

I'm still finding issues over a year and a half later... Found a vacuum hose left unplumbed, unused mounting brackets he left on the engine, stripped bolts, power steering pipes crammed into the engine bay to suit V7 conversion! All of this on top of the rebuilt gearbox which lasted less than 1000 km's and the axle nut which was left off entirely when car was sent to be dyno'd, it was driven without the nut and then dyno'd before tuner noticed the sound of the axle shredding the hub to pieces...!

The thing that annoys me is I was more than prepared to pay for a top job and I did, but sadly the workmanship is just pathetic especially considering what it cost! Bloody useless in my opinion!

Choose your mechanic (in Tauranga) carefully...

Gave them a clean and a good spirited drive which was followed by a visit from a Highway patrol officer after someone called *555 on me...!

Placed new clutch and flywheel in, and put the gearbox back in the car after the repair of the bell housing. First time doing this and learned a lot, does help to have access to a Subaru expert if needed and a professional garage with hoist and tools.

Pretty sure the Chinese clutch that was previously in there would have slipped a lot towards the end of its 2000km life only had 1400lbs of clapping force, now changed out for a 3500lb clamping force, sti clutch with Kevlar 6 puk disc built by auto clutch.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
