Yup, although that question really belongs in the "retarded questions" thread. ;D

Point me to why exactly?

This is the dumb question thread for questions that may seem silly but the asker does not know the answer to.

Is it really necessary to try and belittle me or anyone for that matter who has a question to ask?

Thanks for the answer Koom. Will give it a shot tomorrow.

Really? How could you not sense the sarcasm in what I said? Before you go off and get your panties in a twist, sit back and think for a second or five.

Didn't come off as sarcasm to me...

I'm not familiar with that, you may have a sticky master cylinder or other part of the assembly.

As a worthwhile note though, you should not leave your foot on the clutch if waiting for extended periods as it wears the thrust bearing in the block and you can (and will) end up with crank slop.

what about starting with the clutch in? doesnt that have the same effect? just asking as the forester we had had a clutch switch on it.

All the new manuals have this. I figure they wouldn't do it if it was damaging, but in any case, you're not leaving the clutch in that long so it shouldn't matter.

sticky master cylinder ok i'll check it out i know i've had to remote my cylinder as my tmic is so massive

i always have my clutch all the way in at lights and what not so will not now, going to be a hard habit to beat.

At lights, I usually have the clutch a little bit before where it begins to "bite," is that bad too? Where I should put the beast in neutral then back into first and take off?

If you have your foot on the clutch, you're wearing the thrust bearing, bascially... Just the less time you spend with your foot on the clutch, the less time it has to wear.

I've got an engine here that is the result of a year and a half of me doing exactly that with an HD clutch... it has 2mm-ish of crank play...

Silly question, Suzuki Swift

Friend brought a car from dealer. Only had one key for it.

Dealer verbally said they would get another key within three weeks for him.

Three weeks have gone by - no spare key. Went back to dealer - they said it was not written down and have no record of it and are refusing to get another key.

What are the options?

Do they HAVE to give you 2 sets of keys?

Threaten with small claims court?

Cheers

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
