Its weird, the noise doesnt seem louder using the screwdriver stethoscope method... Maybe im paranoid. But it was definitely loud last night after a 400+ Km trip.

Might still grab a new turbo in case.

Lolat monster teach on wrong setting . Knew someone with a old blue flame engine . Think its a chev . Like a 4 litre 6 and the engine is like a metre tall . Swore it was a race engine that did 9 k rpm . Think it\'d be lucky to do 6 k but it\'d make sense . Have also heard of hooking the boost gauge to fuel pressure to be fully hektik

Please hold caller...a couple of weeks I can tell you. But V5-9 will bolt up at least. The throttle cable tab things hit the mani though. Stoffa, mattapo, tez n u did it. Mattapo used a 3mm spacer iirc but theres a write up on here.

The V7 sti one Im using is still slightly unequal but TB position is far better for flipping/top feed/etc.

sometimes the chain stretches or tensioner needs to be replace because it becomes loose. if it needs to be changed i say do it but not cumpolsury if the cars running ok. check compression would be best way to see if engines in a good state

you will know if the chain is stretched because it will make a distinct ticking noise similar to a noisey tappit

Do chain driven cars still have a \'major\' 100k service? By major, obviously not to the extent of those with cambelts but still somewhat more significant than normal services

Yes

plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, at least, coolant maybe I am sure there will be a list somewhere :)

Yep coolant too. As well as Gearbox oil and diff oil.

yeah; they can; You can get spark plug cleaners: go into your compressor: you can also wire brush them if they\'ve been fouled. and electrical cleaner would be fine: or anything really: if it\'s being dried off, it\'s not gonna do any harm.

Can spark plugs be cleaned? As in nuke them in electrical contact cleaner and let them dry?

Hitting them with a gas torch will clean them up, all spark plugs have a self cleaning function that comes in when they get hot enough. Be careful not to over heat.

After that file the electrode flat (if needed) and re-gap.

I find the easiest way is to let them sit in petrol for half an hour then wipe with a clean rag if you don\'t have a gas plant handy.

Stay away from wire brushes, they create tiny scratches on the electrode and earth strap that can mess with the plug (apparently)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
