Got the old girl back from my mechanics, now has a new starter motor, manifold gaskets, 2 x headstuds and a carb that hopefully doesnt just continually hose fuel into the engine.

The new starter motor sounds like a truck one, its got a hell of a whirr to it as it cranks over ;D

not today, and not my car but attempted a rocker cover gasket change in a ver 7 wrx on sunday.. attempted because the dumbass at ripco gave the wrong gaskets... even with the right model code the muppet still got it wrong completely.. not to worry cleaned em up and stuck some gasket gunk on there and shes sweet as...

the gaskets provided were rectangle shape as opposed to the necessary rectangle with the front corner having the angled part on the head...

not cool ripco... not cool at all

removed GC alloy arms to be replaced with GD arms, new nolathane front bushes, anti lift and roll center adjusters swapped over.

Picking up turbo (for the second time), and collecting new 740cc injectors. 38mm tial wastegate has arrived

expecting driftrex's parcel to be at home for me tonight ... ;) only the air con mount to mod and deliver the car to shred.

Your turbo here already funky??sweet

is it off to shred to get twisted and flipped?

yer it got here monday but they had the wrong front cover on it. It got sent back to akl and the new cover put on, so its just here in wellies ready to pick up now. ;)

Essentially its all going to be set up, twisted, flipped, EWG plumbed, all the new lines and wiring run. Just a link to buy and tune to sort after that.

thrashed it up the mountain for the first of many (I hope!) pilgrimages to the holy of holies - Mt Hutt.

Its now covered in dust, mud and gunk!

This was yesterday of course, not today!

My new mt Hutt pass informs me that yesterday I:

-snowboarded 6156 vertical meters.

-did 15 runs.

actually i was pleasantly surprised.

It appears that they have done a fair amount of work over the off-season on the road.

Was a hell of a lot smoother and less chopped up than last year but i guess it will get worse as the season goes.

Was pretty smooth mud/gravel with a fair bit of compacted snow upwards of Canterbury view. Chains were required from Canterbury view for 2WDs.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
