same, managed to find more than an hour to work on it this weekend....

made up custom brackets for my catch can and boost solenoid, installed top tank and cut all my top tank hoses to size and clamped on my new radiator hoses.

Tried to close the bonnet and relised the ICV hits the bonnet frame, 11mm phoenolic spacers with a V8 sti manifold in a GC8 doesn't quite fit it turns out.

Need to trim some of the frame out of the way.

Just need 1 fitting and a short piece of fuel hose and my fuel system is complete, the just need one hose for crank case breather to catch can and thats out of the way.

So just need to get air temp sensor bung welded on and bolt the intercooler pipework together and ready for the auto sparky

Riase the back of the bonnet with spacers? race car

Was proven by the Honda boys that raising the bonnet raises under bonnet temps while moving as the air flow through the engine bay is designed to go under the car not out the bonnet

They logged some runs with a digital thermometer - plus raising the hinges looks hick as

managed to remove my turbo with motor still it which was a nice suprise. After melting the uppipe last time and have to reset it with a new one, i suspected the orientation of it had shifted slightly such that it was going to be impossible to remove.

Wasnt the 'easssiest' removal but got it all out.

Inspected it properly once out and there is definitely oil seal failure on the turbine side. Appears to be no leakage compressor side which is nice :)

Now boxed up and on its way to Mr Murch.

Nice man.will be 100%bettee when you get it back

is it just a rebuild or is he guna work some magic on it

if its just blown seals then it will be cleaned, new seal kit and he's going to put in a ceramic bearing set to replace the factory ones it has. they are supposed to aid spool by a small margin. Not a 'mod' i'd do for the sake of it but seeing as its being pulled apart i thought i mind as well.

*this is all subject to the inspection once it arrives on his work bench of course.

not loving the raised bonnet idea, plus I've heard it can cause your windscreen to fog up on the outside in colds temps, no rubber strip stopping the hot air escaping.

anyway I'm swapping my scoop for a custom vent at some point, that'll get the heat out.

it only needs 5mm clearance, I could bash it down but would rather not

if its the frame on the bonnet just cut the piece out that has clashing issues - been there done that LOL

went to the extreme one time of cutting the whole frame out of one car - very flimsy bonnet :P

They look great, what did the soda blasting cost Stoffa?

Got my rims sandblasted today, ready to go to Powdercoaters tomorrow. You can still see a fe wof the deep nicks and imprefections but I am powdercoating Matte black so hoping what the powder doesn't cover the dull color wont show up to much.

$87 for the calipers, all the bolts and the stainless slides

I got the steel mounting brackets stripped and powder coated as they were a bit rusty where all the paint had come off

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
