Played with launch control.... Made me :D also chucked on a twinscroll avcs timing and ignition map... Lost some down low pull, but holy f**k it hauls up top!!!!

I thought t/s and avcs were good for low power?

Yes, but mines only single scroll. Lol. Might just merge the 2 maps, keep the twin scroll top end (22psi boost :) ) and biff the single scroll tune on below 4k

Front has pushed radiator in which has pushed back fans and cracked the cam cover, being taken to repairer tomorrow, really don\'t want it to be written off.

I drove it in that state to the destination another 6 k\'s away, engine and alignment were fine once we removed the radiator fan out of the way. Just drove with the AC fan on and bumper in back seat. The front impact rail and rail below it are damaged. I hope that doesn\'t mean write off as I can\'t find any other Manual Revision D\'s

Gutted Divine :(

Hoping they don\'t write it off and fix it!

Today I finally got around to pulling apart to bbod and cleaning it all out to discover the previous owner has capped the lines going to the supercharged pressure relief valve #1 solenoid. Not sure what this would have achieved but got some new vacuum hose and after testing the solenoid works correctly plumbed it back up.

Upon cleaning everything out I had a boat load of oil sludge build up in exhaust gas control valve duty solenoid :/

Cleaned it all out and every other solenoid line cleaned out too. Running a lot nicer now :) although this hasn\'t fixed the source of the problem, how oil is getting in there -_-

Good idea - gonna do this today now that you\'ve put the thought in my head haha

Oil / sludge just gets in there over time - it\'s had what, 15 years to build up, just vapour/carbon/etc from manifold gunks things up over time.

If it was dripping out now there\'s another story altogether :S

Divine - you\'re lucky it didn\'t go that tiny bit further and munch the motor! See a lot of suby engines dead from relatively minor frontals sending bits into cam belty bits. Airbags didn\'t go off?

Replaced the original 15yo Alpine headunit with a Sony usb/bluetooth/handsfree from SuperCheap that was on sale. It took more hours than I expected, but it\'s working well. The new standard din head unit has tabs protruding which stopped the console facia from snapping back into place so I done some awesome munting work with a Proxxon minisaw to remove the interferring part of the rear of the facia and it all fits.

Had replaced the alpine and boston speakers with SoundStreams before Xmas, and the music has never been so good. Plus have a handsfree phone. :) The downside of that is that phone can ring me when I\'m racing - that is not so good ;D ;D ;D

Yeah I saw it today at the repairer, they reckon $7000 to fix ($2500 for front cut being alloy, labour etc) but if the chassis rails are bent then she\'s all over.

Tried to fix the starter motor... there\'s quite often a delay before it starts turning... the longer it\'s been not used,

the longer it takes to turn... took IC off and cleaned the +/- contacts... tried to start it 2 or 3 times, and there was no delay...

so I thought it was fixed... put IC back on, and it was back to normal :(

I know this is no help now that it\'s back together but there\'s a couple of small parts you can buy from an auto sparky and rebuild the starter for not many $$. Easy job with the starter out of the car. Just need the serial numbers off the starter to get the right parts. Last time I did it I just asked for the bits to rebuild my starter as I had no idea what was required and they sorted me out.

Dude that sucks, did the airbags go off or no not, assuming not?

Air bags didn\'t go off, repairer said he has seen poles push the engine back thru the firewall if the impact is in the middle, but because the airbag sensors are to the very ends of the frontal impact bar, they aren\'t touched, so the air bags don\'t go off.

oh yeah thanks... it\'s not hard to get the IC off again... I was intending to take the starter off and see how serviceable it looked... but after cleaning the contacts it seemed fine...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
