I swapped everything from my certed gf8 onto the gc8 just a week ago and was unlucky that the cop got me. Dont worry funky my car is always in line with the laws ;D

Is that a v7-8 alternator? Looks like it.

Is that all you needed to cut out of the bumper can you still run the bumper iron mounted in the chassis rails if so what size intercooler? Most people have mounted the iron on top of the intercooler thats what I thought I would do when I got there.

not today, yesterday :

got the downpipe issue with the v-band clamp sorted, ended up robbing a bolt from another clamp and bashing the s**t out of things until it got tight. works nicely. definately pulls harder, it really hauls arse!!!!!

found out that the new downpipe was about 2 inches longer than the standard one. now s**t doesn\'t fit properly. where\'s a good place in auckland to get a 3\' stainless steel exhaust modified?

Take the car to an exhaust shop and get them to fit it... I once tried to get an exhaust shop to shorten a rage downpipe... I even gave them the stock pipe to work against... and they chopped two inches too much off it.

Man you need to get a private dyno cause your ass-o-meter seems incredibly sensitive haha.

Semi serious/relevant note, isn\'t there software you can get (like virtual dyno?) which gives you a accurate-enough idea from ecu info once it knows weight etc? Would be a good way to know what if any gains you\'re actually achieving

yep, have a dyno program with the gear ratio\'s etc all set in to it. need someone in passenger seat to hold the laptop who won\'t freak out... kinda rules out the flatmates lol

I have a solution: seatbelt.

Or set the laptop to stay on when the lid is closed and just tuck it under the seat.

I use virtual dyno where you load in a 4th gear log from 2k till redline and enter weight and gear ratio, it will also plot boost and air fuel ratio (if you have a wideband)

romraider has a built in dyno program, and the cars definition files are tricky to find, but they are there. i believe it\'s damn accurate too

What file extension do the logs have to be? The logs from g4 dont seem to work i think they are .llg? It says it works with G4. Ive set up a car profile thats all good just want to do a log in the right format.

On virtual dyno that is.

Edit: I think I have to convert llg to csv. Any recommendations on a program?

Its a v4 one but just upside down, umm i haven\'t relay gotten that far but i think im going to have to do that, I\'m wating for the bends to arrive so i can see what im going to have to do to make it work. running a 600x280x80, would have to measure it but dont have a tape on me To be honest im making it up as i go
