What is the purpose of the fender shroud? Never heard of anything like it before.

The factory ones on VA’s look super trash. It's like the black material under the hood.

Though at least they have something there, the GR/GV’s have a big gap that i’ve dropped a few bolts down into on mine

I looked it up on youtube... stupid that they leave giant holes there.

When you take the rubber out of the side fender grills the hot air gets sucked out of the top of the engine bay through those gaps.

You mean the fake openings just behind the wheels?

Most of these aftermarket ones are somewhat vented anyway so could still allow some airflow with the lower vents opened up

They aren’t fake.

they have rubber flaps behind the mesh to block them.

you rip it out and they work.

you can cut more hole in fender to drag more air through.

True. I've never bothered actually looking at them before but know the US folks seem to cut up their guard liners to have direct flow to supposedly keep pressure low around the wheels rather than the engine bay

If you are careful you can just pull the top of the vent panel. Top of the Sti logo outwards and get 30mm or so gap. They just grab the rubber and pull away from vent.
Only one side of the rubber is held on by tiny 4mm washers on plastic pins.

if you get brave unscrew the side skirt from front arch and the the bottom of the panel has a small clip at the bottom.

you can then cut or drill some more holes to get better flow.
There is 40mm before you hit the actual car frame.

Installed a CTEK battery sense bluetooth module and MXS 5.0 charger. The module is a nice little item for those of us with only occasionally used vehicles that aren't properly garaged to allow for long term use of the battery maintainer setup but still at close range for it to ping a phone occasionally.

Straight off the bat it was sitting at 30% as expected from the difficulty starting the last few times so hopefully the chargers recond feature should be able to bring this most of the way back.

You don't need the img tags anymore, just paste the link to the image, make sure it's plain text, it may prompt you to switch to that,  and hit enter after and it should automatically make it an image :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
