saturday i flushed the cooling system and replaced it with a low concentrate coolant (im praying the waterpump gasket doesnt go this time)

did both belts

sunday was induction time, just tinkered around

Completed the last few jobs.

And hooked up the battery for the first time since last year MINT..

The stereo still works, new speaker wiring works, new gauges work.

ALLL GOOD haha.

Off to the tuners in the morning for first engine start

Mmm, Idk, its kinda ugly. I have touch up paint, needs patching up a little (..i only paid $25 for it so its not quite perfect) and then I might put it back on.

I dont know how much that would cost, and I noticed my panels/bumper/bonnet are different shades of white so I will save up and splurge on a allover paint job.

haha i know. its my first warrant with this car and i didnt even know they were on. when i pulled them off they were almost clear. im pretty sure both the gtbs and wrxs have the same darkness tint but yeah tints on factory tints!! WTF??

Turned the wifes Mitsi into a V7 sti. Made her happy by giving her the forester. Pics coming.

Took mine to the panel beaters. Quoted $212 to fix my sills (they are folded in) and flatten the mount on the spare wheel well to be bale to fit an impreza say bar. Damn.

Also revomed the strut brace, wondering how to fix this:

It's the mount for my carbon fibre STi strut brace, damn thing popped off when i took the broken strut out. The guy at the panel beaters just reckoned i should whack it with a hammer, and peen it back on there.

Oh and had an update on my car, the buckets and shims were set up with tin foil, fucken cool engine builder who did it last.

Will be picking it up tomorrow night cant wait.

finally got a GT and Bilstein badge for my car since it came with none! some low life nicked them off it with the last owner. Now just got to work out how to stick them on

Washed all heads, cams, etc and old pistons and rods.

Awaiting the block to come back from machining to start throwin the new bits into it

Really dont see an issues with that I would just pop it back in the bolt will hold it in place if u really worried about it super glue would work

removed the center diff and transfer case in the BH and fitted a 97 STI C/diff n transfer case

doing diff bushes now

or just remove all 3, i have none on my mounts

Well the holes are too big for the nuts, it wouldn't be bolted on any more if i did that. Would have to use washers on all of them.

yeah just use it as a normal washer... dont NEED to get it pressed in. The nut would hold it tight, they are just a spacer really.

Get the spacer pressed in.
